  • Episode 30, Auguri! Happy 2016, big year ahead! Merry New Year!

    01/01/2016 Duración: 41min

I have a pretty bad cold. But I hit all my goals for 2015. I’m not setting any goals for 2016, because it turns out I have a very big change coming up next week. I’m moving to Italy. In the morning I find out if it’s Napoli or Barletta actually. So we have to figure this out. I’ve included some screenshots of all my accomplishments this year. Not all my races are shown on the Athlinks Screenshot, but the most important one is there on the bottom! What a year! Here’s the vlog!

  • Episode 29, Merry Christmas

    26/12/2015 Duración: 44min

What can I say I was inspired by John Lennon tonight. When watching this touching Christmas message, with lots of quantum mechanics in it, keep Happy Christmas in mind. I think that brings it all together maybe. Also, I did keep my streak alive today, one mile. And here is Happy Christmas, with a very difficult to watch, but I feel important to watch, video. War is over, if you want it.

  • Drop it like it’s hot, Episode 28 that is

    19/12/2015 Duración: 44min

Here we are, episode 28. Kept the streak alive today with a mile. Just kind of chillin, talking about my day and how I feel about all the new Star Wars and Star Trek movies, and about how if we stop buying crap, they’ll stop selling us crap (I haven’t seen the new Star Wars film, for reasons I explain). I also got a big honor from my running club at our annual Holiday Party, that was cool. I show it off, because you know, what good is something if you don’t show it off to everyone. I talk a bit about how I’m not particularly competitive in the usual sense of the word. Enjoy!

  • Episode 27 is all about the PMA!

    11/12/2015 Duración: 44min

Yes you can! We do talk a little about the Climate Change reality we live in, and then I just get into how you can do things, you are a capable human being with loads of skills and you just need the right knowledge. Don’t listen to what years of industry and advertising has tried to get us to believe. They try to sell us an attitude that we can’t do things, that we need them for their product or service, because we don’t have the skill, we don’t have the time, we don’t have the whatever. But we do and we can, we are so cool, and even cooler when we get out and take advantage of our innate abilities to build and create. It makes you feel better too! Doing stuff is good for the soul. Get out there and get it done! Keep the PMA! Podcasting is back up and running, I uploaded Ep 26 earlier, still can’t get 23-25 working properly, but enjoy this one! Also I ran a mile today.

  • Episode 26

    04/12/2015 Duración: 44min

It was hijacked by the fact I’m beyond pissed off and beyond sick of talking about gun violence. Look either you want to do something or you don’t. If you want to do something then start demanding something be done. If you don’t want to do anything, you think this is all ok, and don’t talk to me anymore and waste my time. Because something has to change. I try and salvage the running podcast with some talk of next week’s marathon in Roxbury, and more of the body image issue and how people approach folks about health, and “looking healthy”.

  • Episode 22 is on!

    06/11/2015 Duración: 44min

Indeed, it’s an interesting one. I ran today. Got pissed off about a certain presidential candidate’s interpretation of the Egyptian Pyramids. Talked about low voter turnout, and what you can do to actually help (hint: vote). I also muse about finishing the book I really need to write. Hope you enjoy and remember to share!

  • Episode 21 is here!

    30/10/2015 Duración: 44min

I ran today, even though I’m uncomfortable. So we talk about that pain in my ass, literally. Here is some information on piriformis syndrome, tests and stretches to help with it. I was thinking about what to do about not wanting your kids to binge on Halloween candy, and shocker, the answer is about getting the community together. Ive also been bothered by this girl that got beat up by a cop in the classroom, and I think it may have to do with egos. Check it out, and remember, if you like, share, and share liberally! Spread that shit around!

  • Episode 20 fresh for you to peep, plus recipes

    22/10/2015 Duración: 43min

So there it is! 20 episodes. I get a little off the tracks, I get interrupted and had to edit, and we end up talking gun control. Because I’m pissed dammit! But we also talk about running, and how I did this week. I even ran today! We talk some entertainment, and I had an idea for when I finally get my ass down to Southern Italy, which is where I want to be. We also talk potatoes and  ketchup. Recipes to follow. Also, who out there knew I could juggle? So check it out! Here’s the ketchup recipe, and you can do what you want to do to make it your own: 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 medium onion, chopped medium 1 clove garlic, minced 1 28-oz can tomato purée 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar 1/4 cup cider vinegar 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 1/8 teaspoon allspice 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper     Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat until shimmering. Add in the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, un

  • Episode 19 is live!

    16/10/2015 Duración: 43min

Oh what a great week I’m having and I share a recap with you! Also, I made meatless meatballs, Italian style! Recipe is below! Italian Seitan Meatlessballs 8 Oz seitan 1 egg 4 medium garlic cloves 4 Tbsp bread crumb 4 Tbsp pecorino romano cheese grated 1 Tbsp parsley flake 1 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder Pulse seitan in food processor until it is the consistency of ground beef. Add ingredients to bowl and mix by hand until thoroughly incorporated. Form into balls and let rest 5 minutes. Heat 1/2 cup vegetable oil in medium frying pan over medium heat. Once oil is to temperature, place meatlessballs in oil turning every 3 minutes until golden brown all over. *for vegan meatlessballs, use your egg as a binder substitute and romano/parmesean substitute.

  • Episode 18 happened tonight!

    11/10/2015 Duración: 44min

Yes, I PR’ed in Hartford, and by a wide margin, and I talk about it a lot! 3:53:31, it’s a big deal. This is actually all running, there’s PRs and chafing and friends helping me out, it’s all running, the whole episode, even the political stuff! So enjoy.
